The Digital Lab is a new £50 Million state-of-the-art capability designed to facilitate major collaborative research opportunities, create effective knowledge transfer between academia and industry and generate new knowledge and skills with an impact on business, society and the economy.

Research

The Digital Lab is a multi-disciplinary research centre combining WMG's expertise with that in underpinning sciences including psychology, medicine, computer science and mathematics. Businesses wishing to engage in hi-tech R&D are encouraged to come and discover the potential for cost-effective research at the Lab.

Education

Facilities in the Digital Lab support delivery of the Digital Manufacturing Masters course and specific short courses for industry including e-Security. Further new courses will be developed and delivered in the Lab from the results of our research. We can also work with collaborators to develop bespoke courses to exploit our digital research.

Large Businesses

The Digital Lab has been set up to further the use of leading edge digital technology in business. We are therefore actively seeking to work with companies and public sector organisations that have complex end-user IT problems requiring innovative solutions.
